As per the orders of Nizamabad Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya, Nizamabad Additional Police Commissioner (A. R) A. Ramachandra Rao and K.S. Babu Jagjivan Ram’s 117th birth anniversary was celebrated in a grand manner at the Nizamabad Commissionerate office. Speaking on the occasion, the DCP (A. R) said that he was born on April 5, 1908 in Chandwa village of Shabad district in Bihar state and was subjected to untouchability for the first time when the students of the dominant castes refused to drink water from the pot he touched. Babu Jagjivan Ram was a man who fought against social, political and slavery throughout his life. He said that his life, which was linked to the Swarajya movement and the reconstruction of the country, had political, social and historical significance. Special Branch Inspector Srisailam, CCRB Inspector Satish, Reserve Inspectors Tirupati (Admin), Srinivas (Welfare), Shekhar Babu, Office Superintendents Shankar and Bashir, CCRB staff, IT Core staff, Police Control Room staff, Central Complaint Cell staff, Special Party staff and Home Guards staff participated in this event.
