Nizamabad, January 23 (Gatla News): Telangana State Director General of Police, Shivadhar Reddy, stated that the welfare of the police is the state government’s goal and that crimes can be curbed through friendly policing. On Friday, he participated in the inauguration of the new buildings of the Nizamabad Rural Police Station in Kanteshwar and the Makloor Police Station in Das Nagar, along with government advisors Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Sudarshan Reddy, Rural MLA Bhupathi Reddy, Armoor MLA Rakesh Reddy, IG Multi-Zone One Chandrasekhar, and CP Sai Chaitanya. On this occasion, State DGP Shivadhar Reddy said that the police should embrace technology in accordance with the changing times. He stated that a crime-free society can be achieved by increasing surveillance through CCTV cameras and enhancing ground-level patrolling. He said that the new buildings would provide a better working environment for the staff, which would improve their performance. He directed the officials to create awareness among the public, especially the youth, regarding cybercrimes and drugs. Government advisor Shabbir Ali said that the policing system is closer to the people, and the role played by the police in maintaining law and order is remarkable. He added that this building was constructed with state-of-the-art facilities to provide services even closer to the people.

The Congress government is committed to the modernization of the police department and is allocating funds for the construction of new buildings to replace dilapidated police stations across the state, he said. He instructed the staff to behave reassuringly towards victims who come to the police station and to ensure that justice is delivered quickly. He expressed his hope that Nizamabad district would be led on the path of development in all sectors, and that investments would come only when law and order are properly maintained. Government advisor Sudarshan Reddy, speaking on the occasion, stated that the government is giving high priority to strengthening the police system. He said that the establishment of new police stations is necessary for maintaining law and order in accordance with the increased population, and expressed happiness that this rural police station has become available to the people of the Kanteshwar area. Nizamabad Rural MLA Bhupathi Reddy expressed his delight at the availability of a state-of-the-art police station building in his constituency. He requested that there be good relations between the public and the police, and that the police should work harder to control crime in the area. The District Collector, CP, other senior officials, and public representatives participated in the inauguration ceremony.
