ACB raids at Nizamabad Municipal Corporation

Nizamabad, September 03 (Gatla News): Anti-Corruption Bureau officials conducted raids at the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. Extensive searches were conducted in the revenue department located on the first floor of the municipal corporation. ACB DSP Laxmikant Reddy disclosed the details to reporters on this occasion.The accused, Karna Srinivas Rao (AO), who is a senior assistant and in-charge revenue inspector at the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation,

was arrested while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000 from the complainant. He said that he initially demanded Rs 10,000 but later reduced it to Rs 7,000 to act in an official favor, namely “taking care in processing the VLT file, allotting the VLT number and ensuring that the complainant’s shop runs smoothly without any problems in the future.” They said that a bribe of Rs 7,000 was seized from the AO. They said that the AO had acted improperly in the discharge of his duties to get undue benefit. The identity of the complainant has been withheld for security reasons.Nizamabad Municipal Corporation Senior Assistant, In-charge Revenue Inspector, AO Karna Srinivasa Rao has been arrested and will be produced before the Additional Special Judge, SPE and ACB cases in Nampally, Hyderabad. They said that the case is under investigation. In case any government employee asks for a bribe, people are requested to contact the ACB.
