Morthad, March 17 (Metro News): On Tuesday, under the leadership of BJP Mandal President Shivanand Reddy, a memorandum was submitted to the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO), urging the Telangana State Government to immediately implement its unfulfilled promises and requesting the prompt resolution of public grievances. Speaking subsequently, President Shivanand Reddy stated that the Congress government, currently in power in the state, had made numerous promises to the public during the election campaign. However, he noted that not a single one of these promises has been fully implemented to date. He specifically highlighted that various assurances—such as a Job Calendar for the youth, unemployment allowance, pensions for the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities, the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, housing schemes for the poor, ‘Rythu Bharosa’ (Farmers’ Assurance) for farmers, and the resolution of land-related disputes remain unimplemented. He added that the people, who had cast their votes placing their trust in the government, are now expressing deep disappointment with the current Congress administration, and observed that farmers within the Mandal are facing severe financial hardships. He stated that despite farmers facing hardships due to government negligence specifically the failure to deliver promised Rythu Bharosa* (farmer support) funds on time they are being forced to rely on loans to cover their agricultural investment costs. Furthermore, he noted that *Aasara* pensions—provided by the government to the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities—are not reaching all eligible beneficiaries. Many elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and single women within the Mandal who have submitted applications have yet to have their pensions sanctioned. On this occasion, he urged the government to immediately approve the applications of all eligible candidates and ensure the disbursement of their pensions. He also called for the acceleration of the process to sanction houses to eligible beneficiaries under the government’s housing scheme for the poor. He pointed out that although citizens had submitted applications regarding their grievances during the Bhubharathi revenue conferences organized by the Congress government, those issues remained unresolved; he requested that these applications be addressed immediately to ensure justice for the people. He highlighted that residents in the villages are facing numerous difficulties; in particular, basic amenities such as sanitation management, infrastructure, and street lighting are not being provided adequately. He emphasized the need for immediate action to address these issues. He appealed to the government to respond promptly to the aforementioned concerns and resolve the public grievances prevailing within the Mandal. BJP leaders and party workers participated in this program.
