Chief Minister Revanth Reddy orders the registration departments

Hydrabad,(Gatla News):Chief Minister Revanth Reddy orders Municipal and Registration Departments to expedite 2020 LRS process. The state government has taken a key decision on the applications for the 2020 Land Regularization (Lay Out Regularization Scheme). Chief Minister A. wants to speed up the LRS process which will benefit lakhs of lower and middle class families. Revanth Reddy issued orders to the officials. The previous government accepted LRS applications for two months from August 31 to October 31, 2020. Around 25.44 lakh applications have been submitted from all panchayats, municipalities and corporations in the state. 4.13 lakh applications were received from corporations, 10.54 lakh from municipalities and 10.76 lakh from panchayats. For open plots and non-layout, applicants pay a fee of one thousand rupees and submit a copy of their document. 10,000 has been paid as an application fee for large layout areas. That’s when the process stopped. Then all the families who applied have been waiting for four years for the government’s decision. Officials of the Registration Department brought to the notice of the Chief Minister in a review meeting held at the Secretariat today that the process has been delayed due to various court cases. The CM has issued orders to speed up the LRS process which will benefit lakhs of families. It was suggested that the layout should be regularized as per the then rules. It has been decided to give the applicants an opportunity to arrange the layouts by March 31 after paying the full fee. Orders have been issued to regularize the lay-out of Devadaya, Waqf, Government lands and other lay-outs except the lands with court orders.The main discussion in the meeting was that this decision will benefit the lower and middle class applicants. By registering their premises, they own all the official rights over the premises. This will remove all the hurdles in getting construction permits, getting bank loans and buying and selling land.
