Mortad, December 01 (Gatla News): Children impressed by singing the verses of Srimad Bhagavad Gita with devotion and ecstasy. Gita Jayanti was celebrated on Monday at Chaturasra School in Mortad. Social service worker and Bharat Seva Ratna awardee Patwari Tulasi Kumar attended the Gita Jayanti program presided over by school correspondent Sirashinahal Nambulagiri as the chief guest and explained the importance of Bhagavad Gita. Gita Jayanti is celebrated grandly under the auspices of Chaturasra School every year. All the children were congratulated as the students sang the Gita verses in antyakshari in the program organized in the school. They sang the verses in the respective chapters with devotion. Speaking on this occasion, Tulsi Kumar said that children should be taught the verses of the Gita from childhood so that everyone can know the greatness of our country. He said that the Supreme God Himself taught the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna and gave it to us, and by making good use of it, we can develop self-knowledge. He urged everyone to follow the Bhagavad Gita every day. He said that the Gita provides solutions to many problems faced in life. The dance performance by the children on the verses of the Gita impressed everyone. Nagesh Patron, President of the Budget School Mortad Mandal, Damodar Vineet Kumar, and teachers participated in this program.
