Nizamabad, September 06 (Gatla News): Collector T. Vinay Krishna Reddy conducted a surprise inspection of several departments in the Integrated District Offices Complex on Saturday. He visited the district agriculture and housing offices and reviewed the performance of those departments. He examined the reports prepared regarding the details of crop damage caused in the district due to the recent heavy rains. He suggested that the details of crop damage should be recorded accurately so that the affected farmers get government assistance. He said that due to the floods caused by heavy rains, sand dunes have formed in many crop fields in Sirikonda, Dharpalli, Bheemgal, Indalwai, Velpur and Varni mandals. The Collector ordered that steps be taken to remove these sand dunes by EGS workers under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. If the AOs, AEOs and other agricultural officers visit the field level and provide the details of the crop lands covered by sand dunes to the employment guarantee officers, they will have the sand dunes removed by EGS workers, and they should ensure that the farmers benefit from mutual coordination. DRDO Sayagoud was instructed to identify the works under the EGS component in all GPs and take steps to undertake them. He said that this would provide an opportunity for the village panchayats to generate income. During the inspection of the housing department, Indiramma reviewed the progress of house construction. He instructed the housing officers to monitor that all the beneficiaries who have been sanctioned take up the construction of houses and complete them quickly. He wanted to follow the various stages of house construction and ensure that the bills are deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries in a timely manner. He suggested that the process of allotting double bedroom houses to the eligible ones be expedited. He wanted to identify the beneficiaries in accordance with the government guidelines. The Collector was accompanied by District Agriculture Department Officer J. Govindu, Housing PD Pawan Kumar, E.E. Nivarthi and others.
