Nizamabad, November 28 (Gatla news): Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu conducted a surprise inspection of Mahatma Jyotibapule BC Boys’ Gurukul School in Rampur village of Dichpalli mandal on Thursday. He inspected the store room, kitchen, dining hall, etc. He inspected the quality of rice and other goods stored in the store room, and the midday meal cooked for the students and made key suggestions to the administrators. He said that all precautions should be taken in the storage of food items and that meals should be prepared in a clean environment. He advised that vegetables and food items should not be kept on the ground anywhere, but should be stored in steel boxes, that lids should be put on them, and that food should be handled with caution at any stage so that it does not get contaminated. He advised that the quality of food items should be thoroughly checked before cooking meals every day and that expired items should not be used. Even after cooking, the organizers were instructed to taste the food before serving it to the students. If substandard rice, oil and other goods are supplied, they should be brought to the notice of the Tahsildar immediately and steps would be taken to replace them with quality goods. He advised that nutritious food should be provided to the students as per the menu without any negligence. The Collector was accompanied by local officials.
