– Clean Sweep for Congress in the District’s Corporation and all Municipalities

– Providing Ration Cards to all Eligible Citizens and Fine Rice to the Poor is Congress’s Game Changer

– State Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy

Bheemgall, February 7 (Gatla News): State Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress government, which came to power through a people’s mandate, has provided ration cards to all eligible citizens and fine rice to the poor in a short period, which has become a game-changer for Congress, resulting in a strong wave of support for the party in the district. As part of the municipal election campaign, he held a press conference at the Shahasra Function Hall in Bhim Gal on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the minister criticized the previous BRS government, stating that it did not issue a single ration card in the last ten years, and the ration rice provided to the poor was unfit for consumption, leading to recycling and illegal activities. The minister praised the Congress government for providing high-quality fine rice to the poor, a feat unmatched anywhere else in the country. He said that during the Kharif season, they properly utilized the water from the Godavari and Krishna basins to increase the area under cultivation, and purchased paddy from farmers by paying them Rs. 19,000 crores. He added that the government paid a bonus of Rs. 500 to farmers for fine rice, a decision taken after discussions with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti. He expressed confidence that the victory would be with the Congress party, stating that he was saying this based on his extensive political experience as the in-charge of the Nizamabad Corporation and the municipalities in the district. The minister said that the fine rice distribution scheme being implemented by the government would bring about a revolutionary change in state politics. He mentioned that they are providing free bus travel for women and free electricity under the Gruha Jyothi scheme.
Giving top priority to the development of Bhimgal, the minister assured that the Bhimgal municipality would also be given the highest priority, similar to Hyderabad. He appealed to the voters not to waste their votes by voting for other parties and to elect the Congress candidates for the comprehensive development of the town. DCC President Katipally Nagesh Reddy, State Corporation Chairmen Iravathri Anil, Manala Mohan Reddy, Anvesh Reddy, party constituency in-charge Muthyala Sunil Reddy, party mandal president Bodire Swamy, and other mandal Congress leaders participated in this press meet.
