Nizamabad, December 13 (Gatla News): BJP leaders expressed their happiness over 18 out of 48 BJP candidates winning in the first phase of Gram Panchayat elections in Nizamabad district. They stated that some candidates lost by a narrow margin of votes. They alleged that Congress leaders inducted BJP leaders into their party and fielded them as candidates. They criticized the Congress leaders’ actions as shameful, saying that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for the development of villages, the Congress leaders are trying to take credit for that development. They expressed happiness over winning 18 seats in the first phase and expressed confidence that they would win many more Sarpanch seats with a huge majority in the second phase. They alleged that Congress MLAs intimidated the people, especially the Bodhan MLA, who threatened to stop the Indira Awas Yojana (housing scheme). However, they said that the people did not believe these threats and were not afraid of the Congress leaders’ intimidation. They criticized that if a BJP candidate wins, development will come to the people’s doorsteps, but if Congress leaders win, the people will have to go to them. They advised the Congress leaders to change their ways. They said that development means BJP, and BJP means development. They stated that development has taken place in every village. They said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Gram Swaraj (village self-governance) is coming. They said that Congress and BRS leaders resorted to many gimmicks, but the people did not believe them. They mocked that Congress leaders are afraid whenever they see the BJP flag. They warned that they would not tolerate any attempts to intimidate the victorious BJP candidates. They said that BJP’s development is clearly visible in the villages. Development is happening from the village to the city. On this occasion, the newly elected Sarpanches and ward members from the first phase of elections were felicitated. They expressed confidence that BJP candidates will win in all the upcoming elections.
