– Joint Secretary responds positively to MP Arvind’s request

Nizamabad, February 27 (Gatla News): Nizamabad Member of Parliament Arvind Dharmapuri responded to the delay in purchases being made through e-NAM 2.0 in the Nizamabad market yard. On Wednesday evening, National Turmeric Board Chairman Palle Gangareddy, Market Committee Chairman Muppa Gangareddy and marketing officials spoke to the traders. They said that purchases have been made properly through e-NAM 1.0 so far, and from now on, higher officials have issued orders to purchase through e-NAM 2.0. They explained that they were facing serious difficulties in issuing lot IDs to farmers in the e-NAM 2.0 version, and the process was delayed due to mandatory entry of farmers’ mobile numbers and other reasons. Immediately after learning the details, MP Arvind explained the problems faced by farmers and officials over the phone to the concerned e-NAM Joint Secretary in Delhi, Chinmayi Gotmare, a senior IAS officer. He explained to them that a large amount of turmeric is currently coming to the market, and that there are technical difficulties in e-NAM 2.0, due to which farmers, traders and marketing officials are facing serious problems. The MP requested that the technical difficulties in e-NAM 2.0 be resolved immediately and the procurement process should be carried out through e-NAM 1.0 until the end of the current season. Joint Secretary Gotmare responded to this and said that the technical difficulties in e-NAM 2.0 will be resolved, and until then, appropriate orders will be issued to ensure that purchases are made through e-NAM 1.0 only. Although verbal instructions were received yesterday evening to carry out the purchase through E-NAM 1.0, the problem was resolved this morning by making appropriate changes in the software. Officials, businessmen and farmers thanked the MP for resolving their problems quickly and taking action to ensure that the purchase process continued smoothly.
