Nizamabad, May 25 (Gatla News) : Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu has directed the officials to act in a planned way to provide school uniforms to students in government schools on time. While the responsibility of sewing school uniforms has been handed over to women self-help groups, the Collector visited Mahila Shakti Kuttu Kendra in Ditchpally on Friday. The ongoing process of making uniforms in this center was observed at the field level. The collector inquired about the details of how many pairs of uniforms have been prepared so far, how many pairs are still to be sewn, whether cloth material is available, how many uniforms are being made on an average every day. The concerned officials were directed to take steps to ensure that the uniforms reach the respective schools before the re-opening of the schools. It is suggested that arrangements should be made to provide school uniforms to all the students at the beginning of the academic year. They want to supervise the sewing of quality uniforms according to the measurements of the students and ensure that the manufacturing process is completed within the specified deadline. He directed the officials to provide him daily progress reports regarding the manufacture of uniforms. Collector was accompanied by DRDO Sayagoud, DEO Durgaprasad, APD Ravinder, APM Rajitha and others.
