– Palaki Seva and Jatara festivals to be held for three days
Sirikonda, August 12 (Gatla News): The Mahashivaratri celebrations began on Thursday with a grand opening ceremony at the Sri Lanka Ramalingeswara Temple premises in Sirikonda mandal center. The temple premises were filled with devotees. Special pujas were performed amidst Vedic mantras and devotees immersed themselves in spiritual bliss by chanting Shiva names. Speaking on the occasion, temple priest Dandala Nagaraj Pantulu said that special abhishekams, archanas and Rudraparayanas are being held on the occasion of Shivaratri. He urged devotees to participate in large numbers and seek the blessings of the Swami. Later, the temple development committee members said that a palanquin service program and Jatara festivals will be held for three days on the 15th, 16th and 17th of this month. Devotees were called upon to participate in the palanquin service in large numbers and make the festival a success. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Mahashivratri, the temple surroundings were decorated with electric lamps and special arrangements were made for the flow of devotees. These three-day festivals will impress the devotees with a spiritual atmosphere. The temple development committee said that all facilities have been provided for the devotees. Upasarpanch Gyama Shobhan, Avadhuta Gangadhar, Kanchet Lakshminarayana, Badala Santosh, Pari Pelli Raju Kumar, former Sarpanch Ennam Raja Reddy, Pari Pelli Binil, Kanagandula Shekhar, Maruthi, Boyd Prakash, Kanapuram Ravi, Talla Srinivas, Maj MPP Boidi Prakash, Manjula, Shala Ramesh and Pelli Srinivas and others participated in the program.
