– Special Consultative Status of the United Nations Economic and Social Council
Puttaparthi, October 27 (Gatla News): In recognition of its unparalleled humanitarian services to the community over the decades, the Social Council has accorded Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust the Special Consultative Status of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSVC). The Special Consultative Status granted to Sathya Sai Central Trust will enable Sathya Sai Central Trust to actively participate in the programmes and agencies of the United Nations Secretariat, including the United Nations ECOSOC, its affiliated organizations. Speaking on the occasion, Sathya Sai Central Trust Managing Trustee R.J. Ratnakar described the Special Consultative Status of the United Nations as a golden chapter in the history of the Trust. He said that it has provided a great opportunity to spread the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba at the international level and to do social service worldwide. Ratnakar expressed special gratitude to the Sathya Sai Central Trustees, office staff, foot soldiers and Sai devotees who were responsible for achieving such a prestigious status. He called upon all to walk together on the path suggested by Sathya Sai and serve the world more.
