Balkonda, March 25 (Gatla News): Mendora SI Suhasini conducted an awareness session for motorists regarding road safety as part of the “Arrive Alive” campaign, held near the Vivekananda statue in the Mendora Mandal headquarters. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized that preventing road accidents is the responsibility of every individual. She advised two-wheeler riders to strictly wear helmets and urged four-wheeler drivers to invariably use seat belts. She stated that overtaking on the road should be done from the right side, warning against overtaking from the left, which could lead to accidents. She further asserted that driving under the influence of alcohol would inevitably result in a fine of ₹10,000 or imprisonment. She strictly instructed that vehicles must not be handed over to minors under any circumstances. She also pointed out that speeding and negligent driving are primary causes of accidents. Local Sarpanch Buttadi Pramod Kumar, Deputy Sarpanch Mittapalli Rajeshwar, police personnel, and motorists participated in this program.
