Mortad, August 08 (Gatla News):
With the month approaching, Mandal Agriculture Officer Harish inspected the paddy crops at the field level on Friday. Speaking at a press conference organized later, he revealed that stem borer, palm pest and fly agaric were observed while inspecting the paddy crop. He suggested that if farmers take preventive measures in time, they can save the paddy crop. He said that the impact on the paddy crop can be reduced. He said that farmers should use medicines as prescribed to prevent pests in the initial stage. First, if farmers notice that the rice crop is infected with stem borer, they should spray Carpoferon 3G 10 kg per acre for prevention. Second, they should spray Chloranro Niliprol 0.4G 4 kg per acre. Third, they should spray Cartop Hydrochloride 48.8 kg per acre. If the palm pest is observed, they should use Coripiriphos 320 ml or Profenapos 400 ml. Similarly, if the rice is attacked by flies, they should spray Chloripiriphos 320 ml per acre. They informed the farmers that if every farmer pays attention to the rice crop, observes the pests in the crop and takes preventive measures at the right time, not only can the crop be saved but also a good yield can be achieved. He clarified that if the agricultural staff does not respond over the phone in any case, they can directly come to the Agriculture Department office and get advice. He reminded that in the past, when various types of crops were affected by pests, the farmers faced many difficulties because the officials were not available to provide advice and suggestions to the farmers for preventive measures. Harish assured the farmers that the Agriculture Department will be ready to provide services to the farmers at any time and will provide appropriate advice on preventive measures for any problem. Farmers Mahipal, Raj Bharat, Chapala Venkati, and others participated in this program.
