Bheemgal, November 06 (Gatla News): On the death anniversary of Telangana revolutionary poet and warrior who opposed the Nizam government, Dasarathi Krishnamacharya, the founder president of Koravi Goparaju Sahitya Cultural Society in Bheemgal town, and prominent poet Kankanala Rajeshwar paid tribute to Dasarathi on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, prominent poet, writer, historian and commentator Kankanala Rajeshwar remembered the death anniversary of Dasarathi Krishnamacharya on Wednesday, November 5. On this occasion, prominent poet and founder president of the society Kankanala Rajeshwar addressed Dasarathi Krishnamacharya, who played a prominent role in the literary and political fields. He inspired the Telangana movement with the slogan “Naa Telangana Koti Ratanala Veena”. His services to Telugu poetry and literature are immense. Dasarathi was one of the first generation leaders who fought for the liberation of Telangana against the Nizam’s rule. His works breathed life into the movement. He was a pioneer for the first generation of poets and supported the people’s movement with his poetry. Dasarathi wrote songs for many Telugu films. Dasarathi’s works were published in many forms such as novels, poems, plays and essays. He made his mark in the literary world through works like Mahandrodayam. He has titles like Abhyudaya Kavi.
