Mortad, July 16 (Gatla News): In Battapur village of Ergatla mandal, the tribals celebrated the winter festival with devotion on Tuesday as a family. Tribal young women with mangal aarts with drum instruments to Amma Var, the worshiping deity of the tribals, were taken in a procession by Tanda residents with offerings of Gudala and offered to Ammavar. Special pujas were performed to the deities, performances were performed around the temple, plants were paid and the winter festival was celebrated with devotion. On this occasion, Bhattapur tribal women and youths prayed to Amma War to give abundant rains to the deities, good harvest of dairy crops and good health for the people. Bhatpur Tanda caste elders Bhukya Tirupati Naik, Bhima Naik, Badhavat Siva Naik, Anji Naik, Bhimudu Naik, Jagan Naik, Venkat Naik, Srinivas Naik, Ramesh Naik, Sridhar Naik, Shiva Naik, Nandu Naik, Narayana Naik and others participated in this program.
