Nizamabad, May 3 (Gatla News): The Telangana State Working Journalists Association (TUWJ) Nizamabad District Branch stood by a poor journalist who lost his leg due to diabetes and showed humanity by providing financial support of one lakh and fifty thousand rupees. Ramakoti Venkat, who worked as a journalist in Enadu, Andhra Jyoti and Vartha dailies for nearly 30 years in DichPalli, Nizamabad district, migrated to Hyderabad for survival due to poor economic conditions. He is supporting his family by working as a priest in a temple in Gayatri Nagar, Borabanda. Three months ago suddenly the sugar levels increased and both legs got infected. As treatment was not possible, the joints were removed. The doctors have concluded that the other leg is also at risk. Knowing this, the TUWJ Nizamabad district branch collected a donation of one lakh and fifty thousand rupees from their well-wishers and provided financial assistance to the victim Ramakoti Venkat on Friday through the hands of Union State General Secretary K. Virahat Ali. District Treasurer Sirigada Prasad, District Organizing Secretary Sanjeev Reddy, State Council Member G. Pramod Goud and others participated in the programme.
