In Nizamabad district center, a large number of women, young women and youth gathered at the Polytechnic ground in the tribal festival Teej celebrations and organized a grand rally on Sunday in traditional costumes. After nine days of special pujas to Jagadamba Mata, goats were sacrificed and everyone had lunch together. Women and young women performed traditional dances and showed their devotion. Teej is one of the most important festivals of Banjara and Lambadi culture. Teej means wheat sprouts. This festival is celebrated in the month of Shravana by unmarried girls with great pomp and devotion for nine days. He said that this program will be organized with the blessings of Jagdamba Mata Sewalal Maharaj, a spiritual guru with a religious bent of mind.
