Kamareddy September 11 (Gatla News): There is a possibility of heavy rains in the district for 5 days, so the people of the district should be alert and take precautions to prevent any untoward incidents, said District Collector Ashish Sangwan.The India Meteorological Department has informed that heavy rains will fall in the district for 5 days from today. As per the instructions of the Meteorological Department, keeping in mind the difficulties already caused by heavy rains in the district, if there is heavy rainfall, the officials from the village level to the district level should take active action at the field level and identify all areas prone to flooding, projects with excessive overflow, ponds, dangerously flowing streams, bends, old houses and buildings that are wet, dangerous electric poles, etc., and alert the people in advance to prevent any untoward incident in the district. Similarly, the District Collector instructed the officials to inform the villages, mandals and municipalities about the situation at the district level from time to time. People are also advised to remain vigilant and not come out unless it is an emergency, follow the instructions of government officials not to go fishing, or take cattle and sheep to water sources, and in case of any emergency, inform the toll-free number 08468-220069 set up at the Collectorate and cooperate with the district authorities.
