Yadadri, January 27 (Gatla News): Following the release of a gazette notification by Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Secretary of the Department of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, Additional Collector Apuri Bhaskar Rao has been granted Indian Administrative Service (IAS) status. This recognition is a source of pride for Yadadri district and all those who have followed his inspiring journey in public service. Bhaskar Rao hails from Nelakondapalli mandal in Khammam district. He was born into a humble tailor’s family. His parents, Rambaiyamma and Veerabhadra, struggled immensely to support the family after his father’s untimely death. His brothers, Nageswara Rao and Seetharama Rao, supported his education, enabling him to pursue higher studies. He is married to Sridevi, and they have twin children. After qualifying in the Group-II examination in 1995, he began his career in public service, working as a Deputy Tahsildar in Wyra, Khammam district. He was appointed as a Tahsildar in the same district in 1998 and later promoted to Deputy Collector in 2010. He served as the Project Director of the Andhra Pradesh Micro Irrigation Project and later as the RDO of Bhongir in 2013. In 2014, he worked as a Joint Director in the IT department. He worked in a cell at the Secretariat and was promoted to Special Grade Deputy Collector in 2016. Subsequently, he served as Additional Revenue Collector in Nirmal, Jangaon, and Yadadri districts. Since March 13, 2024, he has been serving as the Executive Officer of the Yadagirigutta Temple, where he successfully completed the gold plating of the temple’s gopuram (tower). Along with this, he initiated several development works for the temple. Currently, he is serving dedicatedly in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. Later, speaking to Gatla News, Bhaskar Rao expressed his happiness on attaining the IAS status. He said it was a matter of pride to reach this milestone from a humble background. He attributed his success to the encouragement and support of his brothers. He considered the completion of the sacred gold plating work at the Yadagirigutta temple as a reward for the good deeds he had done in the past.
