– Farmers Face Hardships Due to State Government’s App

– BJP District President Dinesh Patel Kulachari

Nizamabad, June 11 (Gatla News): BJP District President Dinesh Patel Kulachari met the Nizamabad District Collector on Thursday and submitted a representation urging a resolution to the problems farmers are facing at the ground level due to the online fertilizer booking app introduced by the state government. Speaking to the media later, he clarified that the newly introduced urea booking app is specific to Telangana state and has no connection to the central government. He stated that the central government is fully prepared to supply whatever quantity of urea the state government requests and to ensure there is no shortage of fertilizers; however, farmers are facing difficulties due to flaws in the distribution system. A major issue at the ground level is the current system’s reliance on the ‘Mandal’ as the standard unit for booking urea via the app, as distribution centers are located far from the villages. Consequently, farmers incur financial losses by bearing additional transportation costs to move the booked bags to their villages. Paddy transplantation is currently in full swing across the district, yet there has been no official clarification from the government regarding the specific allocation of urea bags per acre. They stated that this situation is causing confusion among the farming community. Responding positively and acknowledging the technical glitches in the app, the District Collector assured them that measures would be taken to facilitate local distribution based on the ‘revenue village’ unit rather than the ‘mandal’ unit. On this occasion, he demanded that the state government immediately issue clear guidelines regarding urea allocation per acre and demonstrate its sincerity towards farmers. Kanchetti Gangadhar, Gadde Bhumanna, Pramod Kumar, Nakka Rajeshwar, Ananth Reddy, Nuthala Srinivas, Tirupati Reddy, Karka Gangareddy, Vijay Krishna, Bobbili Venu, and others participated in this program.
