Armoor, April 17 (Gatla News): Armoor MLA Rakesh Reddy distributed Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak cheques pertaining to the Makloor and Nandipet mandals. Speaking on this occasion, the MLA addressed the issue of the illegal transportation of red soil (moram) occurring in the Makloor mandal, emphasizing the need to curb it. He noted that red soil-laden vehicles were recently seized in the Nandipet mandal headquarters; this seizure was executed by a special police unit after local officials and the police machinery turned a blind eye to the illicit activity. The MLA asserted that no individual—regardless of their stature—would be spared or treated with leniency. Furthermore, he mentioned that he had held discussions with officials regarding the transportation of black soil from the Godavari river, reiterating that soil transportation must be undertaken only with proper permits and that measures must be taken to prevent violations such as speeding. BJP Nandipet Mandal President Patela Raju, Kantham Sarpanch Sai, former MPTC member ‘Painter’ Raju, Lakkampally Chinnayya, and others participated in this program.
